Regular tuning & care
Scheduled tunings, seasonal regulation, and ongoing maintenance contracts for churches, chapels and private instruments throughout Wiltshire and the South West.
II · Restoration
Sympathetic restoration
Historic organs returned to their original voice — pipework, chests, action and console — preserving each instrument’s character rather than imposing a new one.
III · Repairs
Diagnostic & repair work
From a single cyphering note to full action overhauls. We diagnose carefully, explain plainly, and only carry out what the instrument actually needs.
In the Workshop
Forty years of listening, by ear.
Every organ has a voice of its own — shaped by its maker, its room, and the centuries it has stood in. The work of restoration is, before anything else, the work of listening: hearing what an instrument was meant to sound like, and what stands between it and that sound today.
Our workshop in Trowbridge undertakes everything from a Saturday-morning tuning to a multi-year restoration. We work directly with organists, directors of music and parish committees, and we are happy to provide written reports, estimates, and honest advice — even when honest advice is to leave well alone.
